Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois is seeking a friendly Sales Associate to greet customers, assist with questions, ring up merchandise, and keep checkout areas neat.

You will help display merchandise, follow safety rules, participate in round up programs, and contribute to a fast-paced team focused on excellent service. The role includes lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide high levels of customer service.
• Ability to handle cash accurately.
• Ability to count, add, and subtract.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Must be able to operate a pricing gun and cash register.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with sales on the floor.
• Accurately ring up merchandise and handle cash/credit transactions.
• Bag merchandise and maintain a tidy checkout area.
• Assist with merchandising displays and end caps as directed.
• Follow safety rules and report hazards or incidents promptly.
• Participate in the round up program and support loss prevention procedures.
