Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois is seeking a friendly Sales Associate to welcome customers, assist with sales on the floor, and accurately ring up merchandise at the register in our North Park store. The role requires standing, walking, and light lifting, with a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

You will maintain a neat checkout area, support stock and displays, follow safety and loss-prevention procedures, and participate in round-up and Kaizen programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide high levels of customer service.
• Ability to handle cash accurately.
• Ability to count, add, and subtract.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Must be able to operate a pricing gun and cash register.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with sales.
• Accurately ring up merchandise and process transactions.
• Bag merchandise and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Create displays and end caps as directed by management.
• Maintain a neat checkout area and light housekeeping.
• Report safety hazards and follow loss prevention procedures.
