Job summary

The Children's Place in Edison, New Jersey is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will model exceptional customer service, maintain product knowledge, and use effective selling techniques while ensuring merchandise presentation, replenishment, and store cleanliness.

This role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, 18+ age, and retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing promotions and solutions for out of stock items.
• Exercise sound judgment in addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Maintain a neat, clean stockroom and a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping and safeguard company assets.
