Job summary

The Children's Place is seeking a Sales Associate in Mashantucket, CT to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals while delivering outstanding customer service. You will use product knowledge and effective selling techniques to maintain brand standards in presentation, replenishment, and sizing.

You will greet customers, respond to inquiries, and guide them through promotions, while ensuring accurate cashwrap operations and adherence to loss prevention guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing current promotions and offer solutions for out of stock items when necessary.
• Exercise sound judgment in effectively addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat, clean, and organized and maintain a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties to company standard.
• Adhere to Loss Prevention procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Inform Store Leadership of maintenance needs to ensure safety and cleanliness for customers and associates.
• Contribute toward store goals with focused, well-managed efforts.
• Exhibit flexibility by processing stock when necessary.
