Job summary

The Children's Place in Hartford, CT is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team and deliver excellent customer service, product knowledge, and effective selling techniques. You will maintain merchandise presentation, replenishment, and sizing while keeping a clean store and backroom.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, communicating promotions, addressing stock and loss prevention needs, processing transactions at the cashwrap, and supporting store goals.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing current promotions and offer solutions for stock issues.
• Exercise sound judgment in effectively addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap and educate customers on The PLACE Card.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat, clean, organized, and safe; maintain customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Inform Store Leadership of maintenance and facility needs.
• Contribute toward store goals.
• Process stock as needed.
