Job summary

The Children's Place in Manchester, CT seeks a Sales Associate to assist the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will deliver excellent customer service, maintain product knowledge, and support stock and merchandise presentation on the sales floor and backroom.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, driving sales with effective promotions, maintaining stock levels, and processing stock to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Explain value and quality of merchandise and share current promotions, offering solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Exercise sound judgment addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and explain PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow company standards for merchandise presentation, signage, and displays.
• Maintain a neat, clean stockroom and a customer-ready environment safely.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Adhere to Loss Prevention procedures to protect company assets.
• Communicate facility needs promptly to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Contribute toward store goals with focused, well-managed efforts.
• Process stock when necessary in a flexible manner
