Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for customers and uphold store standards. You will engage with customers, learn current promotions, and assist with merchandise presentation and stocking.

You will handle cashier duties, maintain accurate transactions, and contribute to loss prevention awareness while working with store management and teammates.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts (primarily customers) and with all levels of employees.
• Basic communication (both verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of the policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of the Store Presentation Standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for our customers through awareness and company service standards.
• Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised properly.
• Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff.
• Participate in physical inventories and assist in shipping/receiving merchandise and placement on the sales floor.
• Process all sales and POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure.
