Job summary

Ojo Spa Resorts in New Mexico is seeking a Sales Associate to welcome guests, answer questions, and guide purchase decisions. You will process returns, support the Retail Manager, maintain shop displays, assist with inventory, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on a genuine guest experience.

This role requires punctuality, excellent communication, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds; prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
• Previous retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Punctuality and reliability are critical.

• Ability to anticipate customers’ needs.
• Ability to recommend merchandise to customers.

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.

Responsibilities

• Initiates conversation and interacts with customers authentically and personally.
• Assists customers with purchase decisions by understanding needs and preferences related to merchandise.

• Retrieves merchandise from sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations.
• Performs ongoing inventory counts and reconciliation activities.
• Maintains and contributes to an orderly and clean stock room.
• Collects payment using the store point of sale system.
• Processes returns and exchanges.
• Maintains visual and display standards and keeps the selling floor stocked.
• Takes initiative to develop job skills to drive store sales.
• Completes daily projects and checklists with focus on customer experience.
• Adheres to loss prevention, inventory control, safety standards, and company policies.
• Communicates product knowledge to customers and staff.
