Job summary

Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa seeks an experienced bartender to deliver quality beverage service in a distinctive desert setting. You will prepare drinks, take orders, upsell recommendations, and handle payments while maintaining an exceptional guest experience.

The position requires 1 year of bartending experience in a resort or hospitality environment, along with 21+ age, NM permit, and food handler certification. Flexible shifts include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year bartending experience, resort or hospitality setting preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous table service experience required.
• Strong knowledge of beer, wine, and cocktails.
• Valid New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit is required before hire.
• Valid New Mexico Food Handler certification required before hire.
• Ability to operate POS system and handle transactions.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers.
• Provide attentive service, take orders, and serve food and drinks.
• Make recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Follow standard drink recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Enter orders accurately into POS system.
• Process payments, including cash and credit.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar.
• Serve food to bar guests.
• Restock inventory and supplies.
• Report equipment or maintenance issues.
• Follow all alcohol service laws and company policies.
• Maintain required permits while on duty.

Set in the high desert, our mineral springs have drawn guests seeking rest and renewal for centuries. Today, our bar program plays a key role in that experience, delivering quality, consistency, and service that keeps guests coming back.

Compensation:

• Base pay: $3.00/hour plus tips


• Total earnings vary based on shifts, season, and guest volume

Schedule and Employment Type:

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available


• Coverage needed 7 days per week


• Mix of weekdays, weekends, and holidays required

Shifts:

• 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM


• 3:00 PM to close (typically 10:00 to 11:00 PM)

Responsibilities
