Job summary

New Balance is seeking a Retail Sale Associate in Central Valley, NY to provide outstanding customer service, educate shoppers on product features, and guide them through the purchase process. You will help maintain a clean, well-organized floor and support promotions and security protocols.

Eligibility includes 18+ with a friendly, team-focused attitude. Prior retail exposure is a plus; flexible availability including weekends and holidays is valued.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Past retail experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cash register functions.
• Ability to quickly perform basic math.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service using proper selling techniques and product knowledge.
• Greet customers and understand their needs; educate on product features and benefits.
• Transact sales with upselling and effective closing.
• Fit customers with appropriate NB products.
• Inform customers about promotions and keep floor neat and stocked.
• Ensure items are labeled and counted, and report shrinkage or security issues.
