Job summary

The Children's Place in Aurora, Illinois is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining compelling merchandise presentation. You will greet customers, explain current promotions, help find items, maintain stock and backroom organization, and process transactions accurately at the cashwrap.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing current promotions and offering solutions for out of stock items when necessary.
• Exercise sound judgment in effectively addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow presentation, signage, and display standards for merchandise.
• Support a neat, clean, and organized stockroom and a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Guard company assets by adhering to Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and safety needs promptly.
• Contribute toward store goals with focused efforts.
• Be flexible by processing stock when necessary.
