Job summary

The Children's Place in Aurora, IL is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will deliver excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and apply effective selling techniques to grow sales while keeping merchandise presented and the store clean.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, be at least 18, and have retail experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency.
• Greet and acknowledge customers with appropriate service.
• Communicate value and promotions and offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate on PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat and organized and maintain a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Protect company assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and safety needs promptly.
• Contribute to store goals with focused effort.
• Be flexible in processing stock as needed.
