Job summary

The Children's Place in Aurora, IL is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team, deliver excellent customer service, and ensure current promotions are understood. You will help with merchandising, stock, and cashwrap duties.

This role requires strong communication, a flexible schedule including weekends, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior retail experience is preferred, and you must be at least 18 years old to join our team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer engagement and communication.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing promotions and solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Exercise sound judgment in effectively addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow merchandising standards and display guidelines.
• Support a neat, clean stockroom and a safe, customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Guard company assets by adhering to Loss Prevention procedures.
• Notify Store Leadership of maintenance needs to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Contribute toward achieving store goals and adapt to processing stock as needed.
