Full‑Time Retail Sales Associate
$15.00 to $18.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.00 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary
We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The associate partners with staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The position involves a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, general goods, tools, electronics, and firearms in FFL locations.
Responsibilities of a Full‑Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate
- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs open/close procedures.
- Maintains a clean and well‑stocked sales floor.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and regulations.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- Employees may be asked to assist customers outside the building and to retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
Benefits and Agreements
Payrates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements. Employees who are offered and accept a position with FirstCash agree to a binding arbitration agreement to resolve disputes.
