Job summary

MDG Flooring America - Kiba Studios is seeking a Sales Associate to guide customers through their flooring choices, from inquiry to installation. You will build rapport, showcase products, and promote our branding while driving sales and delivering excellent service.

We value a self-motivated, organized individual who can work showroom and client sites, with comfortable in-person interactions and design advice. Flexible weekend hours and a valid driver’s license are needed.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Interest in decorating or design.
• Self-starter with initiative.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Microsoft Office familiarity a plus.
• Flexible work hours to include weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for in-home visits.

Our sales professionals guide the customer journey from inquiry to installation. We’re looking for customer enthusiasts who can help home and business owners navigate a major remodeling investment. While you will certainly be expected to soak up product knowledge, your most important trait is the ability to bond with prospective customers. You’re the kind of person that customers naturally like and trust.

Our best sales associates view themselves as a business within the business, leveraging their personal brands alongside our powerful national and local branding. As such, you should be equally comfortable greeting customers in the showroom and promoting our store through your professional and personal networks. While you place a premium on the customer experience, you also don’t hesitate to close when the time is right. You have the conviction to do what’s right for your customers by helping them acquire the flooring of their dreams! Since most of our products are installed, you should also care deeply about the beauty and quality of a job done right. What You'll Do

Expectations for the Sales Consultant

• Maintain a clean and neat showroom
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Handle sales from start to finish
• Sell flooring, window coverings, and floor care products
• Answer customer questions
• Help customer with decorating and/or design advice
• Prospect for new business
• Manage time in the showroom, in the customer’s home and prospecting for new clients
• Undergo extensive product and sales training to become a certified flooring and design expert
• Keep up-to-date on the wide select of floors we offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each

Requirements

Qualifications for the Sales Consultant

• Retail sales experience a plus
• Passion and/or experience decorating or designing
• Self-starter
• Personally well-organized
• Microsoft Office a plus
• Flexible work hours to include weekends
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation for In-Home visits
