Hearth and Home, Inc. in Mount Prospect, IL seeks a customer-focused sales associate to help customers select fireplaces, patio furniture, BBQ grills and accessories, using product knowledge and consultative selling.

You will greet customers, explain features, generate quotes, write sales orders, process transactions, and coordinate with installers and delivery teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail sales or customer service experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable selling mid- to high-ticket items and working toward sales goals.
• Ability to learn technical product information and explain it clearly to customers.
• Basic computer skills; POS or CRM experience preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work Saturdays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate merchandise when necessary.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while assisting customers with the selection of fireplaces, patio furniture, BBQ grills, and related accessories. This role combines product knowledge, consultative selling, and showroom presentation to help customers find solutions that fit their lifestyle, space, and budget. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable selling higher-ticket home and outdoor living products.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Compensation

Competitive base salary for your first 12 months while you learn our products, industry, sales process, and customer-service standards.

Compensation transitions to a base salary plus commission structure, giving you the opportunity to significantly increase your earnings based on sales performance.
