GoNorth Travel LLC is a family-owned tourism company with a large RV and SUV rental fleet, with branches in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Seattle, and Whitehorse. The Sales and Customer Relations Manager plays a critical role in our company. The ideal candidate is a driven business professional with a strong, persuasive presence, a natural talent for engaging different personalities, and meticulous attention to detail.

Starting salary depends on previous relevant experience. Future salary will be based on performance and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Outgoing personality
  • Knowledge of sales procedures and upselling strategies
  • Ability to work independently with high accuracy within required timeframes
  • Understanding of software, database applications, and basic IT hardware knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Familiarize potential customers with our products
  • Ensure quality assurance of all sales vehicles, coordinating with parts departments and consignment lots as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and system updates regarding vehicle locations, pricing, and status
  • Analyze internal system data to assess the success of consignment lots and identify relocation needs to improve revenue
  • Verify consignment and GoNorth property visibility
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets and increase revenue
  • Ensure vendors, potential customers, and consignment lots understand GoNorth policies
  • Handle transactions in compliance with company standards
  • Coordinate with staff across departments to maintain active communication, vendor relationships, excellent customer service, and enhance market brand recognition
  • Order and maintain required stock levels timely
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Beneficial additional knowledge and skills

  • Knowledge of RVs, campers, SUVs, and trucks
  • Fleet maintenance and management
  • Quality control experience
  • Experience in parts and service logistics
  • Knowledge of service advising and service writing
  • Experience with warranty administration and claims
  • Familiarity with FileMaker
