Job summary

Bagel Brands is hiring a Manager, Retail Revenue Accounting to lead the reconciliation of POS, 3PD, catering, and other revenue across bakery locations. The role combines hands-on accounting with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

You will partner with Finance, Operations, IT, and Data Engineering to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and support GAAP, ASC 606 compliance, and month-end close. Strong leadership and data skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting, finance, reconciliation, or financial systems experience with increasing responsibility.
• 2+ years of people leadership or team management experience.
• Strong accounting and reconciliation knowledge, including experience analyzing high-volume transactions and resolving complex discrepancies.
• Experience with large transaction volumes and multiple data sources to investigate discrepancies and determine root causes.
• Experience within a multi-unit restaurant, QSR, food and beverage, hospitality, or retail with high-volume transactions.
• Experience with restaurant POS workflows and third-party delivery settlements and reconciliation.
• Demonstrated experience supporting process improvements, automation initiatives, system implementations, or cross-functional accounting projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Technical aptitude to understand system interfaces and data flows and their impact on financial processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across teams.
• CPA certification (preferred).
• Experience with SAP ECC or other large-scale ERP systems (preferred).
• Experience with reconciliation/close-management platforms (e.g., Trintech, FloQast) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end reconciliation of POS, 3PD, catering, and other revenue across bakery locations.
• Serve as SME for POS sales accounting and revenue reconciliation processes.
• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of POS activity to deposits, card transactions, settlements, cash, and GL.
• Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, drive timely resolutions with business and tech teams.
• Support month-end close with reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and documentation.
• Maintain controls and documentation ensuring accuracy and integrity of revenue accounting.
• Lead, coach, and develop 2–3 team members; set priorities and performance expectations.
• Collaborate with IT, Data Engineering, Finance, Operations to ensure data accuracy and reporting.
