Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Receiver to support backroom and inventory operations in our Omaha store. You will accurately receive, process, and stock merchandise while ensuring inventory accuracy and adherence to store standards.

You will inspect incoming goods for quality and tagging, maintain organized backstock, operate barcode printers and handheld devices, and help keep the backroom clean and safe. Excellent teamwork and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately receive, inspect, and process merchandise in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Regularly lift, move, and position merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Safely operate store equipment including handheld devices and barcode printers.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Read and understand English; strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to stay alert and productive during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, process, and stock merchandise.
• Inspect merchandise for quality, tagging, boot pairing, and label placement.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by organizing back stock and paperwork.
• Operate receiving equipment, including barcode printers and handheld devices.
• Keep a clean, organized backroom and assist with store cleanliness.
• Collaborate with leadership to support inventory management and flow.
• Train stockers on receiving processes and backroom organization.
• Report safety, security, and system concerns promptly.
• Work on time, presentable, and follow policies.
• Assist with merchandising and inventory projects.
