Job summary

Brookfield Properties seeks a property management intern to support the Sr. General Manager and Oakbrook Team at Oakbrook Center in Chicago. You will help create, execute and elevate common area activities with retailers, vendors and partners while gaining exposure to on-site real estate strategies.

You will work with senior staff to implement events, support new programs, and coordinate communications across social media, marketing, and tenant relations in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in College or University with undergrad degree by Dec 2027 - May 2028 preferred.
• Self-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own professional development.
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, creative, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Highly motivated to succeed in a team environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating, executing, and elevating community connections with partnerships.
• Assist in managing and monitoring social media and website promotions.
• Coordinate and execute events and communications with team members, vendors, and tenants.
• Follow up with participants after events to determine results and metrics.
• Participate in collecting rents, sales, and lease management activities on-site.
• Support new store openings by coordinating with on-site and corporate teams.
• Assist in marketing and management communications, including social media and websites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
