Job summary

Pen Bay Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Retail Pharmacy to join our team. In a training capacity, you will work with a trainer/mentor while performing duties in the pharmacy setting.

You will assist pharmacists, technicians, and the care team with storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications in collaboration with a technician trainer or pharmacist. Education required includes a high school diploma or equivalent, and current or eligible state license as a Pharmacy

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience: None required.
• Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and care team in storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications.
• Perform competencies only as trained and approved with a trainer/mentor or pharmacist.
• Support the pharmacy operation in retail settings within MaineHealth.
