Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in a training capacity, working alongside a trainer/mentor while completing responsibilities in the pharmacy practice area. You will assist pharmacists, technicians, and the care team in storing, distributing, preparing, and handling medications under supervision.

You will perform competencies only as trained and qualified, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current or eligible for applicable state license as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience: None required.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and care team in the storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications within MaineHealth under supervision.
• Only perform competencies completed in knowledge-based courses and on-the-job training with a trainer/mentor or pharmacist.
