Express Rx, a retail pharmacy, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing medications and delivering pharmaceutical care. The role involves greeting customers, validating prescriptions, data entry, insurance claim resolution, and inventory tasks within a compliant, fast-paced setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, State Board of Pharmacy registration, strong math and communication skills, and attention to detail.

• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement is preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology is preferred.
• Experience with prescription management systems (Pioneer) is a plus.
• National Certification is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Assist pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and pharmaceutical care.
• Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening.
• Greet customers and answer questions.
• Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
• Enter and process prescriptions into the pharmacy system under supervision after pharmacist review.
• Ensure all patient and prescription information is complete and accurate.
• Resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims.
• Select medications and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
• Sort, stock, label medications and monitor inventory.
• Undertake administrative tasks and recordkeeping as needed.
• Comply with security measures and quality standards.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.
