Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Registered with State Board of Pharmacy required.
• Proven focus on patient care and strong customer service skills.
• Strong math and measurement skills required.
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology and regulations preferred.
• Experience with a prescription management system (e.g., Pioneer) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacists in safe distribution of medications and patient care.
• Sterilize surfaces and prepare the pharmacy for opening.
• Greet customers and answer questions.
• Receive prescriptions and verify validity.
• Enter prescriptions into the system under supervision and policy.
• Ensure patient and prescription information is complete and accurate.
• Resolve issues such as rejected claims.
• Select medicines and measure dosages for fillings.
• Stock, label, and inventory medications.
• Perform administrative tasks and maintain records.
• Adhere to security and quality standards; follow management guidance.
