Summary

Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, prepares, packages, and distributes medications and pharmaceutical supplies. Responsibilities include:

• Assist patients at point-of-sale
• Collect money, provide receipts, and prepare daily cash deposits
• Maintain the cleanliness of the pharmacy
• Report operational issues and use reporting tools effectively
• Review physicians' orders and transcribe information into drug profiles
• Manage inventory and order medications based on PAR levels
• Ensure medications are in date through monthly inspections
• Return appropriate medications to stock
• Greet customers courteously and professionally, utilizing AIDET
• Answer phone calls professionally
• Assemble medications for pharmacist checks
• Support workflow improvements and organizational initiatives
• Float to other pharmacies as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program (preferred)
• 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician (preferred)
• Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern licensed in Georgia
• PTCB certification preferred
