Inova Retail and Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacy Technician 2 to join the team. This role will be PRN, shift varies.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling, and dispensing medications and supplies
• Clean equipment and maintain all required temperature logs according to system policies and procedures
• Check medication and supply inventory for out-of-date products, remove outdated items, and record them in the Expiring Medication log
• Perform computer entry of prescription information, including patient/prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation, insurance billing, and basic problem resolution
• Prepare medications for clients through mixing, counting pills, and labeling bottles

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of experience as a Retail Pharmacy Technician preferred
• Registered Pharmacy Technician in Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire
