Under the direction of a Registered Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and managing patient records. Provides courteous, cooperative, and timely service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Employment Details:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Minimum).
• Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training program or two years of college with emphasis in math, science, or medical fields (Preferred).
• Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Michigan.
• Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) status by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) (Preferred).
• Must obtain PTCB certification within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum two years of pharmacy work experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare, package, and distribute medication orders according to requests and protocols.
2. Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies.
3. Contribute to the effective operation of the pharmacy department.
4. Maintain logs, records, and documentation; handle communication and cash transactions.
