Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience as a retail pharmacy technician.
• Active Michigan Pharmacy Tech license required.
• Pharmacy Tech certification preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and collect patient information to process prescriptions.
• Process and fill prescriptions and medication orders; generate labels and documents.
• Operate pharmacy software and related equipment.
• Review billing procedures including third-party insurance carriers.
• Assist with discharge prescription program on hospital units.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
