Job summary

Yale New Haven Health in North Haven, CT is seeking an entry level clinical pharmacist to join the Department of Pharmacy. The role supports the YNHHS vision, mission, and values and participates in a High Reliability Organization focused on patient safety and CHAMP behavior.

You will perform timely medication order reviews, contribute to medication preparation and distribution, and provide education to pharmacy staff, students, and care teams.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a B.S. or PharmD degree.
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency or equivalent experience is desirable, but not required.
• Current Connecticut Pharmacist License, or eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a B.S. or PharmD degree

Experience

Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency or equivalent experience is desirable, but not required. Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

LICENSURE

Current Connecticut Pharmacist License, or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Connecticut

Special Skills

This individual should demonstrate basic knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics, and understand pharmacy systems of drug distribution and formulary management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with others are required.
