Job summary

Giant Food in the DMV is seeking a Pharmacist to deliver safe, accurate dispensing and exceptional patient care in our retail pharmacy.

You will supervise pharmacy staff, ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, DEA regulations, and support vaccination and MTM programs in-store and in the community.

Candidates must hold a PharmD or equivalent, an active license in the state, immunization certification, and 2–5+ years of retail pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Retail pharmacy experience in a fast-paced setting.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification (APhA or state-recognized).
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Experience supervising pharmacists and technicians.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions and counsel patients to ensure safety.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and staff scheduling.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and sensitive records.
• Manage formulary, insurance issues, and inventory.
• Provide MTM and immunization services and community outreach.
