Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix is seeking a Retail Staff Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care in an outpatient setting. You will counsel patients, oversee pharmacy technicians, coordinate workflow, and verify medications prior to dispensing to ensure safe and effective use.

The role requires licensure in Arizona, immunization certification, and a current BLS card, with flexibility for varied shifts within operating hours.

Qualifications

• Requires pharmacy licensure in the state of practice and a degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Immunization certification and/or licensure within 6 months of hire.
• Must possess current BLS card.
• Strong organizational, problem solving and computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with staff, physicians and patients.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions accurately and timely; reviews orders for safety and compatibility.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and coordinates workflow.
• Provides counseling to patients and caregivers on medications and therapy.
• Maintains records per state and federal laws; supports immunizations as requested.
• Oversees medication use including procurement, storage, dispensing and monitoring.
