Qualifications

Requires pharmacy licensure in the state of practice and a Pharmacy degree.
AZ Board of Pharmacy wallet card required at time of hire.
Immunization certification/licensure required within 6 months of hire.
Must possess strong organizational, problem solving and communication skills for interfacing with staff, physicians, patients and others.

Responsibilities

Fills prescriptions accurately and verifies orders in the medication management system.
Supervises and directs work of pharmacy technicians; coordinates workflow.
Provides counseling to patients, families, and caregivers about medications and therapy.
Oversees day-to-day pharmacy operations including inventory and interactions with insurers.
Consults with prescribers to improve medication use and resolve issues with orders.
Manages medication use, procurement, storage, and dissemination across services.
