Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Michigan is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our team. You will fill prescriptions accurately, educate patients, and uphold safety and quality standards in a patient‑centered environment.

Requirements include a Doctorate of Pharmacy or BS, active license, and immunization certification. Retail experience, knowledge of pharmacy systems, and compliance with state and federal laws are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
Retail/Community Practice.
Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, and regulatory in the state the unit operates.

Responsibilities

Fill prescriptions safely accurately.
Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
Hold pharmacy technicians accountable and support growth of the pharmacy business.
Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
Competent with Meijer Policies and Procedures as well as state and federal laws.
Effective communication and organization to prioritize workload.
Listen to the patient and resolve needs; provide customer service.
In absence of pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
Perform and oversee clinical services, including immunizations.
