Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our retail team. You will fill prescriptions accurately while maintaining strong relationships with patients and colleagues. The role includes mentoring technicians and upholding Meijer policies and state regulations.

In this position, you’ll handle immunizations where allowed, participate in clinical services, and ensure smooth operations in the pharmacist's absence. A Doctorate or PharmD is required and state licensure must be current.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy required.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/Community Practice experience.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system and policies; understanding of state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Oversee pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge.
• Perform clinical services where allowed, including immunizations.
