Job summary

THOM Thomas Hospitals in South Charleston, WV is seeking a licensed pharmacist for a day shift. The position is full-time (40 hours weekly) and exempt, located in a hospital-retail setting with standard duties including medication preparation and patient counseling under WVUHS guidelines.

Preferred candidates hold a PharmD with residency training and have at least three years of pharmacist experience. Licensure in WV and/or PA is required, plus BLS certification within 60 days of hire.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

• 1. Must possess current license as required by state board where services will be provided: WV: Pharmacist license through the West Virginia State Board of Pharmacy
  PA: Pharmacist license through the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy
• 2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 60 days of hire date.
• 3. State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

• 1. Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy.

EXPERIENCE:

• 1. Completion of a residency training program.
• 2. Three (3) years of pharmacist experience.
