Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Columbus Square is seeking candidates for a Personal Banker Associate program. Selected associates will enter a 4–8 week onboarding with rotations in operations and Sales & Service, culminating in certification to perform Retail Personal Banker duties.

The role focuses on consultative sales to meet customer financial needs and expand relationships. The program emphasizes risk awareness, strict ethics, and strong customer service as you progress toward a Retail Personal Banker

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferable skills, or combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities designed to acquire new consumer households and/or cross-sell to established customers.
• Must be able to demonstrate understanding of advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information.
• Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in appearance and communication.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build customer profiles and identify needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions using value proposition.
• Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities as directed.
• Refer customers to Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment partners when appropriate to provide holistic solutions.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals and contribute to revenue growth.
• Guide CSRs on the sales and referral process.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow policies to mitigate risk.
