Job summary

Fifth Third Bank seeks candidates for the Retail Personal Banker I program in the Cleveland area. Selected individuals will complete a 9-week onboarding, including rotations in operations and Sales & Service, with a certification at the end to qualify for a Retail Personal Banker role.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, acquiring new households, cross-selling to existing customers, and collaboration with partners across Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment units.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities to acquire new customers and cross-sell to existing customers.
• Must be able to demonstrate understanding of advanced math functions for credit and financial analysis.
• Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in appearance and communication.
• Familiarity with Retail policies and procedures to use good judgment in decisions.
• This position requires SfE Act registration at employment through the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales to build customer profiles and identify financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products and suggest suitable solutions.
• Reach out to customers and schedule periodic financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
• Collaborate with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial, and Investment partners for referrals.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals; contribute to revenue growth.
• Guide CSRs on sales and referral processes.
• Provide friendly, professional service and resolve customer issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies and ethics.
