Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking candidates for a Retail Personal Banker I program in Cleveland, OH. Selected candidates will rotate through operations and Sales & Service, completing a 9-week onboarding with a certification upon completion to enter the Retail Personal Banker job family.

The role focuses on proactive consultative selling, new household acquisition, and deepening relationships via lobby leadership or aisle-time and tele-consulting. Travel for training may be required.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Ability to develop comfort level with sales activities to acquire new consumer households and cross-sell.
• Strong math skills to analyze credit and financial information.
• Professional appearance and verbal/written communication.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration via NMLS required at time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to identify customer needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions.
• Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
• Establish relationships with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment partners to provide holistic solutions.
• Meet or exceed customer experience and production goals.
• Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referrals.
• Promote customer satisfaction with professionalism.
• Open/close Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed by the Financial Center Manager.
• Mitigate fraudulent activity and adhere to policies.
