Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati seeks candidates for a Retail Personal Banker I program designed to prepare you for a career in personal banking. The program includes a 4-8 week onboarding with rotations in operations and Sales & Service, followed by certification and progression into a Retail Personal Banker I role.

You will handle teller transactions and engage customers with consultative sales to build relationships.

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills, or a combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities to acquire new households or cross-sell to existing customers.
• Ability to understand advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information.
• Professional appearance and verbal/written communication suitable to representing Fifth Third Bank.
• Knowledge of Retail policies and procedures and good judgment in decision making.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration required at time of employment through NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process to build customer profiles and identify current and future financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and engage in outside sales activities.
• Collaborate with assigned Business Partners to provide holistic financial solutions.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals and contribute to revenue growth.
• Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referrals.
• Assist in opening/servicing Retail products and participating in loan/bankcard processes.
