Job summary

Micro Center is seeking self-motivated Retail Computer Technicians to join our service team. Starting at $15/hour base with incentives to raise hourly rates to $18–$35+ with SPIFFs, you will diagnose and repair computers, assist customers, and build lasting relationships.

You'll split time between the service counter and the shop, providing clear updates to customers via in-person, phone, text, or email, while maintaining accuracy in repairs, documentation, and inventory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; related service/repair experience preferred.
• CompTIA A+ or Apple ACMT/ACiT certifications, or ability to certify within 90 days.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to multitask and adjust priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting at the service counter for computers and related products.
• Recommend service solutions including data backups, antivirus, warranties, and subscriptions.
• Identify and document hardware or software issues across a range of devices.
• Assemble custom computers for BYO sales and support repairs with up-to-date certifications.
• Maintain cash till, process transactions, and keep a clean, organized work area with accurate inventory.
• Provide timely updates to customers via face-to-face, phone, text, and email regarding service events.
