Job summary

Bay Mills Indian Community is seeking a Retail Manager to direct day-to-day operations, ensure customer service goals, manage inventory, and maintain financial benchmarks with payroll goals in mind. The role requires leadership to supervise sales staff, manage cash, and coordinate with vendors.

The position emphasizes accuracy in pricing, invoicing, and displays, plus training new hires and ensuring compliance with policies. Evening/weekend flexibility and occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Retail Management experience.
• Thorough understanding of finances, pricing, ordering, receiving, scheduling, inventories, and state retail reporting.
• Personable, customer-service oriented with strong organizational ability.
• General knowledge of computers.
• Excellent math skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to perform all essential functions and physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary customer service, while being prompt and professional.
• Maintains the essential functions of a Retail Clerk.
• Supervises employees engaged in sales, inventory, cash reconciliation, and accounting records.
• Uses Micros POS system and maintains till/drops accuracy.
• Assists in pricing merchandise for store profitability.
• Meets with sales representatives/vendors and processes invoices for payment.
• Assists in training new hires on procedures.
• Ensures deliveries are checked in and displays are orderly for guests.
• Communicates issues and suggestions to Retail Manager and Retail Supervisor II.
• Leads by example and supports teamwork and presentation.
• Maintains neat and clean appearance.
• Learns and follows daily policies of Bay Mills Business Holdings and department.
• Attends mandatory HR/training sessions including TIPS and ServSafe.
• Other duties as assigned within scope.
