Job summary

The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians operates the MidJim BP Convenience Store/Gas Station and seeks a Store Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure profitability, and compliance with policies and laws. You will supervise personnel, manage assets, and deliver outstanding service to customers.

Responsibilities include deposits, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and enforcing safety and customer service standards in a high-traffic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of four years convenience store/gas station experience.
• Minimum of three years supervisory experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• Ability to operate spreadsheets, data and word processing software.
• Knowledge of Midim BP convenience store/gas station procedures and InfoGenesis POS.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work different shifts and handle high-stress situations.
• Native American preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, verify, and maintain daily sales summary and deposits.
• Direct and supervise staff including hiring, training, and evaluating.
• Operate cash register, collect payments, and make change.
• Process weekly and monthly invoices.
• Manage inventory and loss prevention records.
• Manage operating expenses, accounts receivable/payable.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Process payroll, leave policies, scheduling and staff meetings.
• Perform daily market research.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.
