Job summary

Equinox Hudson Yards is seeking a full-time Retail Operations/Merchandising Support to join our luxury fitness community. You will manage shipments, inventory control, stockroom optimization, RTV processing, and collaborate with club operations to align retail initiatives with events and member traffic.

Responsibilities also include floor set execution, mannequin and window styling, and maintaining premium shop aesthetics while rotating products based on weekly sales data.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in retail stock operations or visual merchandising in luxury retail.
• Experience using inventory management software and POS systems.
• Strong visual sense for color, spacing, and branding.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, weekends, and select holidays.

• Inventory Control: lead inventory tracking, cycle counts, and stock audits.
• Stockroom Optimization: maintain organized stockroom layout for fast access.
• Defect & RTV Processing: manage RTV process and log damaged items.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with Equinox Club Operations and management to align retail initiatives with events and member traffic.
• Floor Set Execution: translate directives into floor layouts for specific club footprints.
• Aesthetic Maintenance: keep sales floor premium through displays and garment care.
• Product Rotation: analyze weekly sales data and rotate slow movers for profitability.
• Mannequin & Window Styling: style mannequins and focal walls for seasonal storytelling.

Inventory & Stock Operations

• Shipment Management: Receive, unbox, and meticulously verify incoming product shipments against packing slips to ensure absolute accuracy.
• Inventory Control: Lead inventory tracking, cycle counts, and seasonal stock audits to minimize shrink and ensure high data integrity.
• Stockroom Optimization: Maintain a highly organized, clean, and efficient stockroom layout that enables floor staff to locate sizes and styles instantly.
• Defect & RTV Processing: Manage the Return-to-Vendor (RTV) process and log any damaged or defective items per corporate guidelines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with theEquinox Club Operationsand general management teams to ensure retail initiatives align with overall club events and member traffic.
• Floor Set Execution: Translate corporate visual merchandising directives into reality, adapting floor layouts to fit your specific club’s footprint.
• Aesthetic Maintenance: Ensure the sales floor continuously meets Equinox's premium standards by steaming apparel, sizing product runs, and adjusting displays throughout the day.
• Product Rotation: Partner with shop leadership to analyze weekly sales data, rotating slow-moving items and highlighting high-margin bestsellers.
• Mannequin & Window Styling: Style mannequins and focal walls to tell compelling seasonal stories that resonate with high-end fitness members.

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in retail stock operations, visual merchandising, or an equivalent luxury retail role.
• Operational Skills: Exceptional organizational habits with experience utilizing inventory management software and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Visual Eye: A strong grasp of color theory, spacing, and styling; ability to maintain brand consistency without direct supervision.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and lift/move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility: Available to work a varied schedule dictated by shipment days, floor sets, and club traffic -including early mornings, weekends, and select holidays.
• Brand Alignment: A passion for luxury fitness, wellness, and contemporary fashion trends.

Pay Transparency: $20.00-$25.00/hr
