Job summary

Guitar Center is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the team responsible for receiving, stocking, merchandising, and store operations, ensuring plans and promotions are executed with integrity and customer focus.

You will partner with store leadership to drive EBITDA, maintain inventory accuracy, supervise staff, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced, music-loving environment. Candidates should have 3+ years retail or warehouse experience and be able to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in retail or warehouse settings.
• Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be able to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Store Manager to achieve EBITDA, sales, and margin goals.
• Ensure proper staffing and training for operations associates.
• Oversee shipping/receiving and store logistics.
• Maintain warehouse organization and stock handling.
• Lead loss prevention, inventory management, and safety programs.
• Conduct signage and pricing audits to ensure planogram compliance.
• Step in as acting manager to drive sales when needed.
• Open and close the store and handle other duties as assigned.
