Who you are:

The Retail Operations Manager is a central voice on the retail team, guiding the communication to our network of boutiques and supporting the tools that they need to offer an exceptional client experience. The Retail Operations Manager provides key administrative support to the Retail team, and is a departmental partner who works closely to support and coordinate the operational activities of the retail stores across all functional areas to ensure effective planning and implementation of policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for all store communication including a weekly newsletter and ad hoc announcements.
  • Accountable for maintaining an up-to-date repository of operational policy and procedural documents on the internal store shared drive and communicating changes to the wider retail network as they are made.
  • Manages the retail team’s uniform sizing database in partnership with HQ, including weekly new hire updates and seasonal look assignments.
  • Owns the branded supply and packaging program for monobrand, BPS (outlet) and concession doors. Maintains inventory levels, partners with external 3PL warehouse fulfillment centers on orders, and tracks shipments throughout the year of inbound supplies from overseas.
  • Maintains our supply ordering platform for all retail stores, including catalogue updates, identifying cost savings opportunities and approving all supply orders from store teams.
  • Supports the communication of updates to the boutique hospitality program, sourcing vendors and making adjustments due to seasonality and store profile.
  • Partners with finance and accounting teams to support sales reconciliation across the network.
  • Maintains a Retail Calendar of key cross functional dates for scheduling and workload visibility.
  • Offers onboarding support for key new hires about operational best practices and policies.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability when workload or tasks are changed as necessitated by business.
  • Utilizes business acumen (both written and verbal) in relation to day-to-day operations, product assortment and business opportunities.
  • Builds effective working relationships with colleagues in our stores and corporate offices.
  • Demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness by acting with integrity in all interactions and following company policy and guidelines.
  • Promotes cooperation and commitment within the team to achieve goals and celebrates team accomplishments.
  • Proactively seeks feedback for performance and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications:

  • Strong affinity for the Brunello Cucinelli brand and philosophy.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 4-5 years of working experience in retail operations (luxury retail preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to manage data with pivot tables and vlookups.
  • Proficient with retail technology (POS systems) and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively to deliver timely and impactful results.
  • Thrive on working collaboratively with team members across the company.
  • Adaptable and comfortable with change.
  • Convey positive can-do attitude towards tackling problems.
  • Ability to seek feedback and seek other points-of-view while maintaining confident direction.

As required by New York City salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position starting at $50,000. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
