Job summary

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Operations Lead to drive top-tier store performance. You will oversee merchandising, inventory control, pet care operations, opening/closing procedures, and supervision of associates to deliver a safe, organized, and welcoming shopping environment.

Responsibilities include leading associates, managing daily tasks, executing promotional setups, handling POS transactions, and maintaining excellent customer service while upholding company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Full-time availability; evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a visually appealing store layout.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide sales associates in merchandise handling and training on product knowledge.
• Mentor and coach associates; participate in performance feedback and development.
• Oversee daily tasks, and act as Leader on Duty when required.
• Manage merchandising strategies, inventory levels, audits, and stock replenishment.Operate POS systems and handle cash following policies.
• Ensure store standards and ethical compliance across store operations.
