Job summary

Family Fare, LLC is seeking a Department Operations Lead to manage daily store department activities. You will oversee staffing, training, stocking, and production tasks to ensure product quality and compliance with rotation and safety standards.

The role requires at least 2 years of retail experience and supervisory capability, with strong communication and organizational skills. Spanish language ability is a plus, and travel may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• Two years of retail experience preferred.
• One-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
• Good strategic planning and business acumen skills.
• Knowledge of retail store operations and retail management systems.
• Depending on company location, ability to communicate in Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of the department operations in a retail store.
• Ensure associates are trained and the department is fully staffed.
• Maintain product quality, production planning, accuracy, and date sensitive rotation; handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Ensure familiarity with all products carried in the department and store; model company values.
• Enforce food safety and safety guidelines; take corrective action as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
