Job summary

Family Fare, LLC in Michigan is seeking a Department Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in the store. You will ensure the department is fully staffed, trained, and aligned with company standards, while overseeing stocking, production, quality, and date sensitive rotation.

You will implement Our Winning Recipe, model core values, enforce food safety and safety guidelines, take corrective action when needed, and collaborate across teams to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• Two years of retail experience preferred.
• One-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
• Good strategic planning and business acumen skills.
• Good knowledge of retail store operations; knowledge of retail management systems.
• Depending on company location, ability to communicate in Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day activities of the department operations in a retail store, ensuring associates are trained and the department is fully staffed.
• Oversee stocking, production, quality, and date sensitive rotation; handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Maintain familiarity with all products carried in the department and store; enforce company standards and KPIs.
• Ensure food safety and general safety guidelines are followed; take immediate corrective action when not.
• Collaborate with store teams to meet goals and adjust staffing as needed.
