Job summary

Floco Foods is seeking a grocery department supervisor to lead a friendly, guest-focused team in a fast-paced retail environment. You will ensure top-notch service, manage inventory, and uphold safety and sanitation standards across the department.

You will work with the Store Manager to meet budgeted sales, optimize staffing, and train staff to deliver consistent, high-quality customer experiences while maintaining merchandising programs and backroom organization.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Able to lift 40 lbs consistently and 60 lbs occasionally.
• 1–3 years of supermarket knowledge.
• Ability to supervise, train and develop staff.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from grocery staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, wage percent, and profits for the department.
• Maintain inventory levels to maximize sales and minimize excess.
• Operate department according to merchandising and operational programs.
• Ensure product quality meets Floco Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to staff.
• Perform product stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain staffing and scheduling standards.
• Control grocery shrink through stock loss program.
• Ensure pricing and scanning accuracy.
• Ensure backroom is properly maintained.
• Ensure advertised items are available, signed and scanning correctly.
• Assist with grocery inventory preparation.
• Collaborate with Store Manager and Receiver on product levels and conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
