Qualifications

• Education/experience: High School Diploma or GED and 2–4 years related experience and/or training.
• Language skills: read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions; write routine reports; speak to customers and employees.
• Mathematical skills: ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages.
• Reasoning ability: ability to solve practical problems and interpret varied instructions.

Responsibilities

• Achieve goals for the department in sales and gross profit.
• Maintain and control supply, payroll, inventory and waste.
• Follow correct accounting procedures: invoices, transfers, inventories.
• Responsible for the quality and freshness of product with proper rotation and temperature maintenance.
• Work with Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager on merchandising, scheduling and sales trends.
• Maintain a sanitary department in the sales floor, cases/coolers and back room area.
• Responsible for proper and preventative maintenance of all department equipment.
• Obey all safety standards as outlined by the company.
• Cooperate with other departments during inter-department or store-wide promotions.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
